
A 7-year-old girl tragically drowned Saturday night after being pulled from a retention pond behind Uncle Julio's restaurant near Stonebriar Centre in Frisco.
The child was reported missing at approximately 8:55 p.m., prompting an immediate search by Frisco Fire and Police Departments.
Her shoes were discovered near the pond's edge, and she was found unresponsive in the water around 9:20 p.m. Despite CPR efforts, she was pronounced dead at a nearby hospital.
Uncle Julio's released a statement expressing condolences: "Our family mourns for this family's tragic loss. Our deepest condolences go out to them during this difficult time. We ask the community to keep this family in their hearts."
The Frisco Police Department is investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
