An investigation is underway in Grand Prairie after a three-car crash on Saturday morning resulted in the death of a child.
According to police, the incident took place at approximately 9:10 a.m. on IH-20 westbound at Belt Line Road. They say three cars collided when approaching slower traffic.

While one of the drivers only sustained minor injuries and was treated on scene, the two other drivers and one passenger all required hospitalization for their injuries. The passenger, an 8-year-old, later died of their injuries at the hospital.
The Dallas County Medical Examiner's Office has yet to release the child's identity.
Police don't expect any charges to be filed.
