According to CBS News, a source close to Astroworld has said that: "Police are looking into a drug spiking incident in a targeted area of the festival." This is believed to have affected a child amongst other innocent people.

The source also reports that the surge was caused by panic as people ran for safety.

They also say that police are currently working with content teams searching for drone or on-ground footage from the festival.

This is a developing story.
