One person died after a boat with 53 people on board capsized on Lake Conroe last night.
According to Click2Houston, the boat overturned roughly 50 yards from the shore near Regency Point when a strong thunderstorm blew in at approximately 8:00 p.m.
An 80-year-old man from Montgomery County was taken to the hospital while all others were rescued by Montgomery County emergency personnel with help from residents of a nearby apartment complex. He was pronounced dead at a local hospital.
The incident is now under investigation.
