A suspect is in custody after leading police on a wild chase in Mesquite and northeast Dallas.
Officers tried to pull over a stolen car on I-30 in Mesquite, but the driver refused to stop. He got onto 635 and drove north into Dallas before getting off the freeway and driving through several residential neighborhoods.
He eventually got back onto the freeway and drove back into Mesquite, then into Dallas, where he stopped in another neighborhood.
Video from NBC 5's helicopter showed a young man jumping out of the car and running through the neighborhood. After a few minutes, the suspect was surrounded by police officers and arrested.
