Addison’s town council Tuesday night again postponed setting an election date on whether the town should withdraw from Dallas Area Rapid Transit, saying they need more input from residents before moving forward.
The hours-long meeting included multiple motions and public comments but ended without agreement on when — or even if — voters should decide the question.
The potential exit has drawn intense interest as several North Texas suburbs reevaluate their relationship with DART amid concerns about service levels and long-term costs.
Addison remains a full DART member city for now, with the council expected to revisit the issue in a future meeting.
