The Texas Attorney General says the East Plano Islamic Center land development project has violated both state and federal law.
Attorney General Ken Paxton has been investigating EPIC City since March.
Paxton has released his findings Tuesday following the multi-month investigation saying EPIC developers violated federal and state securities laws and regulations.
Paxton says they have formally requested the Texas State Securities Board review the findings and refer the matter back to his office in order to file a lawsuit.
His investigation has also expanded to see if local municipalities or other entities may have coordinated with those involved.
