The Texas Attorney General has filed a lawsuit against a nonprofit he claims is engaging in unlawful voter registration.
Attorney General Ken Paxton says Jolt Initiative Inc orchestrated a design to sabotage Texas election integrity and allow illegal immigrants to vote.
"Any organization attempting to register illegals, who are all criminals, must be completely crushed and shut down immediately," Paxton said in a statement.
Jolt says on their website they are a nonprofit dedicated to increasing the civic participation of Latinos.
Paxton says Jolt is a radical, partisan operation that has and continues to knowingly attempt to corrupt our voter rolls and weaken the voice of lawful Texas voters.
KRLD has reached out to Jolt for their response.
