The last few years have not been easy for Texas based Alamo Drafthouse. After the movie theater chain filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in 2011 and closed a number of locations, many thought their favorite place to see the latest movies would be gone for good. However, it appears Alamo Drafthouse has turned things around, as they recently announced a massive expansion, including one new DFW location.
2022 is off to a good start for Alamo Drafthouse, as the movie theater chain will be adding seven new locations in this year. While six of those locations will be spread across the country, there will be one popping up in the metroplex as well. According to Dallas Eater, the new location will be located in Grand Prairie.

The new 10 screen movie theater will feature 66-feet wide curved screens, luxury recliners, and high-tech surround sound. Of course, the theater will also have a full-service bar with craft cocktails, wine, and local beers on tap. It seems things are finally looking up for the Texas company.
