People from north Texas and around the country are reaching out to show their support for employees at the Allen Premium Outlets Mall before the mall reopens today.

Today will be the first time for employees and shoppers to return since a mass shooting killed 8 people.

Reports say Simon Property Group, the mall's owners, are allowing individual stores to set their own hours.

“As we prepare to reopen Allen Premium Outlets, we do so with deep gratitude for the compassion and goodwill of so many” said the Simon Property Group in a statement.

The outlet said plans have begun for a permanent memorial to honor the victims and their families. For more information on hours and operations visit the Allen Premium Outlets.

Janice Marut with the Lutheran Church Charities' K-9 Comfort Dog Ministry says they're providing help to employees who may be anxious on their first day back.

The mall resumes its normal hours from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday to Saturday and noon to 6 p.m. on Sundays.
