UPDATE: Wednesday 9:30 a.m.

Tyler Police say the AMBER Alert for Jamar Ross has been discontinued. No other updates were given.

A baby is missing in Tyler and police have issued an AMBER Alert as they search for 11-month-old Jamar Ross who has not been seen since Friday.

The AMBER Alert was activated late Tuesday night. Police believe Jamar is with a woman named Tarhondia Jackson who is believed to be the baby's mother.

Jackson is described as African-American, standing 6-foot-2 and weighing about 200 pounds. Police do not have information about any specific vehicle they're looking for.

The AMBER Alert was authorized by a judge who was notified by CPS that the agency was going to take custody of Jamar Friday at a home in Tyler. When social workers arrived at the home, the baby and mother were gone.
