In Arlington, the search is on for a driver who struck a 5-year-old boy and then left the scene of the accident. It happened Thursday night in a neighborhood off of 360 and Debby Lane.
The boy's mother says her son was riding his scooter on the driveway when he rolled into the street and collided with a pickup truck. The driver of the truck left the scene.
The truck is described as a red, newer model, Dodge or Toyota, with dark rims, and possibly tinted windows.
Although the young child has spent the past two days in the hospital, his mother says that he is slowly improving.
Arlington police are currently reviewing surveillance video from the area, and urge anyone with any info to contact them immediately.
