ARLINGTON (1080 KRLD)- An Arlington motorcycle officer is recovering after being involved in a crash this afternoon.

The crash happened on W. Park Row Dr. near the intersection of Woodland West Dr. on the Arlington/Pantego line.

The motorcycle officer is in the hospital, but his injuries are not life-threatening.

"The officer was injured and was taken to the hospital," says Tim Ciesco, Arlington Police spokesman. "We were very relieved to learn that his injuries are non-life-threatening. (He's) cracking jokes and seems to be in pretty good spirits."

At this time, exactly what led up to the crash is still under investigation.

"The driver did stop and remained on scene," says Ciesco.

No citations have been issued at this time.

"We just ask everybody to send positive thoughts and pray for a speedy recovery," Ciesco says.
