Arlington police are charging the hit-and-run driver who struck a police officer on I-20 Thursday.
The officer was rushed to a local hospital but the police department reports he's going to be okay.
Investigators say the officer was working a crash when he was hit by a driver who was swerving around the crash wreckage.
The driver just kept on going but an off-duty Dublin police officer saw the whole thing and chased after the driver, pulling him over and holding him until Arlington police could there to handcuff him.
The charge against him is Failure to Stop and Render Aid.
