An Arlington SWAT call ended in a barricaded man's suicide Monday night.
Just past 5 p.m. Arlington police were called about gunfire in a unit at the Park at Ashford, an apartment complex on Fielder Road near West Mayfield.
Police say there was no response from anyone inside so the SWAT team was called in to continue negotiating. Fielder Road was closed down during the crisis.
In the end, with no word from the apartment, SWAT officers forced their way inside only to find a man already dead from a self-inflicted gunshot.
