An unidentified man is in the hospital after being shot by police in Fort Worth last night.
It was just past 8:30 p.m. when police were called to a home near North Z-Boaz Park near Camp Bowie and Alta Mere.
Officials say a man with a shotgun tried to force his way into the home, intending to abduct two children. After not getting in, he left before police arrived. But police were told he was planning to return.
Using their squad cars, the officers blocked the street in both directions. When the man returned he tried to crash through the roadblock. That's when the officers opened fire, sending the man to the hospital in critical condition.
