2020 Texas Country Music Awards
The Texas Country Music Association promotes and supports the Texas Country Music and Christian Country Music industries. During this ceremony they will give out 23 Awards. Plus, Texas Country Music Association's prestigious "Trailblazer Award" will be presented to Mr. Radney Foster for his long-standing career and the unprecedented success he's obtained in songwriting, singing and performing. Of course, you'll get a bunch of great country music.

2020 Texas Country Music Showdown
It's 10 Texas Country Bands, and one full day of Texas Country in the Stockyards with bands competing to be the Texas Country Music Showdown 2020 Grand Champions! The winner will be announced at the 2020 Texas Country Music Awards on November 15 at Billy Bob's Texas. Grand Champion band receives a full prize package provided by the Fort Worth Stockyards Heritage Development, who also provides the judges for this event. It's a free event, followed by a free country concert with Scotty Alexander.

Billy Bob's Concerts
Concerts are finally back at Billy Bob's in Fort Worth. This weekend there are a full slate of performances. On Friday night Josh Ward hits the stage. And on Saturday, Michael Salgado plays. Billy Bob's reminds you to arrive early, as COVID-19 protocols mean it will take longer than normal to get into the venue.

This event will bring the community and many families together to learn more about Denton Freedom House Ministries through their challenging and adventurous race. This creative race will better familiarize you with their ministry while causing you to work as a team and push yourselves mentally, physically and spiritually. Fort Worth Botanic Garden
The Botanical Research Institute of Texas (BRIT) and Fort Worth Botanic Garden invites visitors to see their newest exhibit "Topiaries in the Garden," running Oct. 16, 2020 through June 30, 2021. Holiday at the Arboretum

Last Ditch Drive-In Concert Series: Matthew and the Arrogant Sea
The pandemic has been extremely tough on the brewery industry. Armadillo Brewing Company is getting creative with their concert series. They're calling it a last ditch effort to stay in business while waiting to get the go ahead that it's safe to reopen. So this concert with Matthew and the Arrogant Sea is being held drive-in style. There will be food (from Boca 31) and drinks for purchase. You'll also need to purchase a spot to park your vehicle. No alcoholic beverages are allowed inside of vehicles. But you can sit in your lawn chair and enjoy yourself.

Life in Stitches: Embroidery Workshop
From the DMA: "It's the first-ever Arts & Letters Live "Life in Stitches" event, a writing and embroidery workshop inspired by the To Be Determined exhibition. It will encourage self-reflection and making personal connections with art throughout history and across cultures, revealing the resilience within us all during past and present struggles and fostering community.
After enjoying a brief overview of themes in the exhibition by staff and viewing the exhibition on your own, participants will be guided to write a six-word memoir inspired by their viewing experience and reflection on life during the pandemic. Then staff will facilitate an embroidery workshop, teaching participants how to stitch their written memoir."

Mayor Price's Superhero Bike Ride
Hop on your Huffy and join Fort Worth Mayor Betsy Price for a Superhero Bike Ride on Saturday, November 14 from 3 - 5 p.m. at the Fort Worth Water Gardens. The theme is SUPERHEROES, as they honor the heroes on the frontlines battling COVID-19. Protective masks are required to be worn before/after the ride and anytime bicycles are not in motion. And don't just dress the part of a hero, be one by donating to the Tarrant Area Food Bank. Convention Center parking garages and street parking will be available.

Perot Museum: Reopened to the Public
The wildly popular Perot Museum of Nature and Science continues Friday, Saturday, and Sunday hours after reopening last month. There are new public-health protocols, ticketing procedures, reduced hours, and 25% occupancy limits. Because of the strict occupancy limits, guests should purchase their tickets online ahead of time for their timed entry into the Perot.
