A suspect, who got away this morning in a Forney police car, is now behind bars. Early Saturday morning, around 1:00 a.m., a Forney officer found Emanuel Paramo's vehicle in a ditch.
When police stopped to check on the driver, an officer discovered drug paraphernalia in the vehicle.
After he was arrested, and placed in the back of the police car, Paramo was able to squeeze through the small window, in the partition, behind the vehicle's front seats.
He then fled the scene and traveled west in the eastbound lanes of Highway 80 towards Mesquite.
Investigators say that after crashing the vehicle in Sunnyvale, he made his way to an Applebee's in Mesquite, and that's where someone noticed that he was wearing handcuffs, and called the police.
The 26-year-old faces a long list of charges.
