Cook Children's Hospital released this summer a 10 point guide for schools to use as they welcome students back safely to class. Now as "first week of school" covid cases spike, nearly 30 independent school districts have asked for the guidance.

More than 160 North Texas pediatricians and healthcare workers have signed a letter of support sent to the Fort Worth ISD school board this week stressing the importance to taking the guidelines seriously.

They also encourage all schools continue to maintain social distancing and good hygeine practices.
