On top of power, water and food issues, many people are now dealing with damage to their property. From cars and homes to even swimming pools.
So what's included in most insurance policies? What can people claim? On 'Ask the Expert,' North Texas Insurance Agent Courtney Hathcock joins KRLD's Kristin Diaz and David Rancken.
She says for most North Texans, a standard Homeowner policy does cover sudden and accidental water damage. However, some customers who have dwelling policies, or rental or investment homes, might have a bit of a surprise over the lack of coverage in their agreements. Pools she says are also not usually covered by homeowner policies.
