Ask The Expert: What is an annular solar eclipse?

On Saturday morning, you get the chance to see a rare sight - an annular solar eclipse.

It'll be visible here in Texas and thanks to the good weather, we should have a great view as the Moon comes between the Sun and the Earth. They're calling it a "ring of fire" eclipse.


The Perot Museum is planning a big event for people to see the eclipse tomorrow. And there are programs going at the University of North Texas tomorrow morning as well.

Ryan Bennett is the Astronomy Program Director at UNT, and he joined us in the KRLD Zoom Room.
