At least five North Texas deaths are now blamed on last month's frigid weather and power failures.

A Texas Department of State Health Services report totals 57 cold-related deaths state-wide.

The biggest number is in Harris County with 25.

There were no deaths reported in Tarrant, Dallas or Denton counties. But there two in Collin County, two more in Hill County and one in Grayson County.

State-wide, many of the deaths were due to hypothermia but others were blamed on weather-related crashes, carbon monoxide poisoning, fire, falls or medical equipment failure due to power outage.
