**NORTH TEXAS WEATHER: BEAUTIFUL FALL WEATHER THROUGH THE WEEKEND!**
Good morning, North Texas! Welcome to Wednesday!
Cool mornings and warm afternoons will be the theme across North Texas for the rest of this week and into the weekend. We'll enjoy plenty of sunshine, light winds for much of the week, and temperatures gradually climbing above seasonal averages. However, our next weather change arrives late Monday into Tuesday, bringing a chance for showers and thunderstorms.
**WEDNESDAY:**
We're waking up to a comfortable start, with temperatures in the 50s and light, variable winds. High pressure at the surface is positioned just to our east, while an area of high pressure aloft continues to build. Sinking air associated with this system will keep skies mostly sunny and rain chances out of the forecast for the next several days.
Yesterday's high reached 80 degrees, and we'll be right around 80 again this afternoon with plenty of sunshine and a light easterly breeze. Tonight, temperatures will fall back into the 50s and lower 60s.
**THURSDAY AND FRIDAY:**
Another beautiful stretch of weather is on the way! Thursday morning will start off cool, with plenty of sunshine and afternoon highs in the lower 80s.
On Friday, southerly winds will gradually return, although they'll remain fairly light. Morning temperatures will be in the lower 60s, followed by afternoon highs in the lower 80s.
**THE WEEKEND:**
The weekend is shaping up nicely for outdoor activities across North Texas. Expect morning lows in the lower 60s and afternoon highs in the lower 80s.
We'll see a few clouds, especially across areas north and west of Denton and Fort Worth, with cloud cover gradually increasing through the weekend. Southerly winds will pick up Saturday at around 10–20 mph before easing somewhat Sunday and Monday. Temperatures will remain in the lower 80s under partly cloudy skies.
**LOOKING AHEAD TO MONDAY AND TUESDAY:**
Monday will be our transition day as clouds increase ahead of an approaching cold front. Morning lows will be in the 60s, with afternoon temperatures near 80 degrees.
The timing and speed of this front will determine exactly when our rain chances arrive late Monday into Tuesday. At this point, much of North Texas could see at least a few showers or thunderstorms, although rainfall will likely be more widespread to our west and southwest.
Some storms could become strong, so I'll continue monitoring the forecast and provide updates as we get closer. Keep in mind that not everyone will see rain, and some communities could miss out entirely.
