The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives is looking for the suspect who broke into a gun store in McKinney earlier this month. They say it appears the same suspect hit Gebo's in McKinney twice - once on August 12th and again on August 14th.
Security camera video from the store shows a man stealing nine firearms just after 1:00am on Saturday, August 12th. There was another break-in late at night on Monday, August 14th. Twelve long guns were stolen during that incident.
The suspect is described as a white male with a medium build and short, dark hair. He has a tattoo on the inside of his left forearm. He left the store in a dark-colored sedan, possibly a Nissan Altima.
"We at ATF ask the public to help us solve these serial burglaries. Every day that these stolen firearms remain on the streets of McKinney increases the chances of them being used in a violent crime," said ATF Dallas Special Agent in Charge Jeffrey C Boshek II.
The ATF, McKinney Police and the National Shooting Sports Foundation have joined forces to announce a reward of up to $10,000 for information leading to the identification and/or arrest of the suspect or suspects.
Anyone with information can call 1-888-ATF-TIPS. Information can also be sent to ATFTips@atf.gov or submitted through the ATF’s website.
