Bass fishing's biggest tournament begins today, and for the third time in history it takes place in Texas.
Delayed from March due to COVID-19, the three-day Bassmaster Classic begins today on Lake Ray Roberts.
It starts with 54 anglers today and tomorrow, before the field gets whittled down to 25 for Sunday.
Tom Lang with Texas Parks and Wildlife says anglers will catch up to five fish each day, then they will head to the Will Rogers Memorial Center for the big show.
Protocols are in place to ensure the fish's safety until they are returned to the lake. Among them, anglers will get to take only two of their five fish with them to Dickies Arena the first two nights.
