Bat in Plano tests positive for rabies, Animal Services warns

Plano is warning people in the community who may have come in contact with a bat with rabies.

Plano Animal Services picked up the bat on Monday and it tested positive for the virus. It was found near Enfield Park along Legacy Drive.

Authorities say they don't have any indication that the bat came into contact with any people. But they say if you think your pet may have come into contact with the bat, you can call Plano Animal Services at 972-769-4360.
