A body found in Lake Granbury has now been identified as a missing elderly man who vanished from his home near Acton last week.
The Hood County Sheriff's Office was told 86-year-old Donald Carver went missing on April 26th. The search began immediately but there were few leads until Sunday when a body was reported in Lake Granbury.
The medical examiner has not made a formal identification but a statement from Sheriff's Lieutenant Johnny Rose says "on behalf of the Carver family and the Hood County Sheriff's Office, I would like to thank all the volunteers that assisted in trying to locate Mr. Carver in the five-day search that occurred."
