A Boeing 777-200LR freighter painted in Qatar Airways Cargo livery performed a dramatic low-altitude pass over Horseshoe Bay Resort Jet Center in Horseshoe Bay, Texas, on June 24.
The aircraft, registered N705DN and formerly operated by Delta Air Lines, is undergoing passenger-to-freighter conversion by Mammoth Freighters for future delivery to Qatar Airways Cargo.
It was conducting a ferry flight from Grissom Aeroplex in Indiana to Perot Field Fort Worth Alliance Airport when it detoured for a symbolic flyover at the base of its owner, Jetran LLC, which is located at the private jet center.

Flight-tracking data from Flightradar24 showed the jet passing extremely low over the runway. ADS-B reports indicated a lowest altitude of about 950 feet above mean sea level; after adjustments for local barometric pressure and the airfield’s elevation, observers estimated the pass occurred at or near runway level. Video footage captured the aircraft banking sharply with its right wing appearing very close to the ground.
Mammoth Freighters issued a statement clarifying that the company was not the owner or in control of the aircraft at the time. The current owner, Jetran, was responsible, and the aircraft had not yet been delivered to or operated by Qatar Airways Cargo. The pilots were not Qatar Airways crew. Jetran acknowledged the maneuver did not meet operational standards.
The Federal Aviation Administration is reviewing the incident. No injuries or damage were reported at the jet center, a facility designed primarily for smaller business aircraft.
The video quickly went viral across aviation social media platforms, sparking discussion about the low pass. The aircraft remains in the final stages of preparation ahead of its planned delivery.
