A Boyd man has been arrested and charged with Intoxication Manslaughter after a deadly crash along Highway 287 in Wise County.
The Texas Department of Public Safety says 58-year-old Alan Schutt was the driver of a 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee who crashed into two parked cars and a pedestrian along the shoulder of 287 and then crossed the median and hit another vehicle in the southbound lanes.
The driver of one of the cars on the shoulder and an SUV across the median are okay, but the pedestrian was taken to the hospital and died.
Troopers say Schutt tried to flee but witnesses held him into law enforcement arrived.
The victim was identified as 19-year-old Destiny Quintanilla of Grand Prairie.
