A welfare check in Burleson has led to a homicide investigation after police found the body of a 26-year-old man buried in a shallow grave at his parents’ home.
Officers say they discovered the body of Jonathan Kinman, who had special needs, during a search of the property.
Kinman’s mother and stepfather were arrested and charged with tampering with or fabricating physical evidence.
Police have not released details about how or when Kinman died, and his body has been sent for autopsy to determine the cause and manner of death.
The investigation remains ongoing as detectives continue gathering evidence and interviewing family members and neighbors.
