DALLAS (1080 KRLD) - A car thief is shot and killed by the owner of the car he had stolen.
Shortly before 2:30 Tuesday afternoon, a man tracked down his stolen car and located it, and the thief, on Fitzhugh Ave. just west of U.S. 75 in uptown Dallas.
"The victim and the subject then had a verbal argument when the victim rammed the subject's other vehicle he was driving with the stolen vehicle," Dallas Police said in a statement. "The subject then shot the victim."

The car thief was pronounced dead at a hospital a short time later.
The shooter was interviewed at the scene and released, and it will be up to a grand jury to determine whether any charges will be filed.
The car thief's name has not yet been released, pending notification of family members.
