Haltom City police say early this morning a woman was sexually assaulted by a man who asked her for change.
Police say they got the call around 3:00 a.m. Wednesday from the victim who told them the man asked her for change, then pointed a gun at her and forced her to a nearby field where the assault happened.
The victim described the man as black, around 6 feet tall, medium to thin build, 35-40 years old with short black hair.
He was also clean shaven and was wearing a white or yellow t-shirt.
Police say the man was seen heading south on North Beach Street.
Detectives are asking that anyone with information or access to video cameras in the area please reach out.
