Southlake Carroll school trustees have agreed to leave the Texas Association of School Boards, saying in the words of their resolution "TASB actively promotes, through training and conferences, divisive political ideologies."

The vote in favor of the resolution was 5 - 1 with only trustee Michelle Moore voting against it over concerns that the district needed more time to evaluate the ramifications of this decision.

Carroll becomes the first independent school district in Texas to leave TASB.
