It has been a little over a month since e-scooters returned to the streets of Dallas, and while some have claimed the changes made have been a huge success; others still have a problem with the form of transportation.
A spokesperson for the city of Dallas recently revealed nearly 600 complaints have been filed about e-scooters since they returned May 24. Even with the changes, it appears some still want to see e-scooters removed from Dallas streets once again.
When it was first announced e-scooters would be returning to Dallas, many worried the same issues that caused the services to be suspended in 2020 would remain. However, changes were made and new rules were implemented to help keep people safe and the streets of Dallas free of clutter. Sadly, that hasn’t been enough to convince everyone, as 560 complaints to 311 have been made so far.
According to WFAA, the spokesperson for the city of Dallas did not reveal what the complaints were for or if they were resolved. While that is probably more complaints than the city was expecting, it appears the e-scooters are here to stay for now.
