Dallas is offering credit monitoring to its employees in the wake of the ransomware attack that's been plaguing the city for weeks.
Reports say Dallas City Manager TC Broadnax sent out an email to nearly 1,200 employees, telling them that free credit monitoring is being given out as a precaution.
The statement went on to emphasize that officials have not yet found any proof that information from workers or residents has been publicly released, but the offer comes after unions for both Dallas Police and Firefighters asked for it.
On monday, Bill Zelinski with the city told the city council they've made prorgess in restoring systems.
Back on May 19th the hackers group named 'Royal' claimed responsibility, posted on the dark web that they would release that information if a ransom wasnt paid by the city.
The city says it has worked to restore services wihout paying any money.
