Cleanup efforts are underway across North Texas after powerful storms swept through the region Monday, leaving a trail of damage from flooding, fires and power outages.

Heavy rain led to high water in multiple areas, including Fort Worth’s Trinity Park, which became impassable due to flash flooding. In Arlington, traffic signals were knocked out near AT&T Stadium, creating backups at key intersections.

Dallas Fire-Rescue conducted more than a dozen high-water rescues as drivers and residents were caught in rapidly rising waters. In Glenn Heights, at least one home was flooded.

The storms also triggered lightning-sparked fires and brought down trees, some of which toppled power lines. At the height of the outages, utility provider Oncor reported around 20,000 customers without electricity. As of Tuesday morning, fewer than 3,000 customers remained without power.

Officials urge residents to use caution while traveling and to avoid flood-prone areas as recovery continues.
