Arctic blast number two will arrive early Saturday morning and it will stay cold through the middle of next week. There is a chance for more wintry precipitation next week, according to our latest forecast.
With this new arctic blast arriving, you never know what could come with it, so it might be a good idea to keep those winter preparations around your home.
It could be that you never unwrapped some pipes or still have some outdoor plants inside after last week's snow, most of us still do, but it's not a bad idea to go back and rewrap those ahead of this weekend's cold.
On nights when we're below freezing, keep those faucets on a drip as well. Take care of your pets, they really should be inside, but if they have outdoor shelters make sure those are warm and well-stocked with food and water.
Check your smoke detectors, know where your flashlights, batteries and even candles are.
Grab a few more easy meals and some more bottled water, just in case.
