Residents and businesses in Coppell are being asked to limit their water use to "emergency situations" Wednesday due to a problem at a pumping station.

The Village Parkway Pump Station lost power because of a fallen power line, resulting in low or no water pressure, the city said. Coppell said it's entered State 5 of its Water Conservation Plan and asked residents to use water for emergencies.

To help with conservation, city facilities won't open until 12 p.m. Wednesday. The city said crews are working to restore power to the pumping station.
