ARLINGTON — The Dallas Cowboys open their home season Sunday at AT&T Stadium, and more than 80,000 fans are expected to pack the building as the team looks for its ninth straight win over the New York Giants.

Game preview

Both teams come in at 0-1, but oddsmakers still have Dallas favored by about five and a half points. The Cowboys’ defense remains the strength of the roster, while Dak Prescott and CeeDee Lamb look to get the offense back on track after a quiet opener. The Giants, meanwhile, are aiming to snap a losing streak against Dallas that stretches back eight games.

What’s new inside the stadium

AT&T Stadium is rolling out fresh food and fan options this season:

Local flavors — New concession partners include Fletcher’s Original Corny Dogs, Hurtado Barbecue, and Melt Ice Creams.

Tech upgrades — Expanded mobile ordering lets fans skip lines and have food delivered to their section.

Merchandise — A redesigned pro shop layout makes it easier to pick up Cowboys gear without missing game action.

Fan experiences — The Miller LiteHouse outside the west plaza has new pregame entertainment, live music, and interactive games.

Advice for fans

With a sellout crowd expected, fans are encouraged to:

Arrive early — Parking lots open five hours before kickoff, and traffic on I-30 and Collins Street will be heavy.

Go cashless — AT&T Stadium is fully cashless; bring a card or load funds onto a prepaid card at kiosks.

Clear bag policy — Only clear plastic bags smaller than 12x6x12 are allowed inside.

Stay hydrated — September heat can linger, so pace yourself if tailgating.

The bottom line

The Cowboys are chasing their ninth straight victory over the Giants, the rivalry is as heated as ever, and the stadium experience continues to grow beyond football. For fans, Sunday is as much about the spectacle of AT&T Stadium as it is about what happens on the field.
