Dallas Animal Services is currently dealing with a canine Distemper outbreak. As a result, they are temporarily limiting surrender cases to emergencies only.
The upper respiratory virus is highly contagious, and can be deadly.
Dogs with symptoms are currently being quarantined, and extra cleaning is underway.
DAS says that they still have 350 adoptable dogs who are not showing any signs of the Distemper virus.
