Last week, the Dallas Animal Shelter announced they were full with more than 350 dogs at the facility. They had no more room for medium and large-sized dogs.

In an effort to avoid euthanizations the shelter implored residents to adopt or foster a dog to clear space.

And according to DAS, the public responded.

The shelter saw more than 200 adoptions and more than 50 dogs go to foster homes. This created much-needed space at the facility to continue taking in dogs.
