Dallas authorities are searching for sexual assault suspect

Authorities are on the lookout for a suspect linked to multiple sexual assaults recently reported in the Dallas area, and they are seeking the public’s help to bring the perpetrator to justice.

In a Saturday press release, the Dallas Police Department said it is “asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the pictured suspect who is believed to have committed multiple sexual assault offenses.”

It explained that a woman was sleeping in her bed in an apartment near 9700 Dale Crest Drive this Friday when the suspect entered her apartment through an unsecured window and sexually assaulted her. Then, the same suspect is believed to have sexually assaulted another woman the very next day in the apartment near 8800 Fair Oaks Crossing, where she lives.

According to the police, the suspect is described as a Latin male in who is in his 20s, 5’8” tall, and 180 to 200 pounds. He was wearing a black ski mask, black pants, and black Nike shoes with a white swoosh logo during both assaults. Police provided photos of the suspect.

“Community members are urged to remain alert for any suspicious individuals matching the description,” said the police department. “If anyone knows the identify of this man or has any information regarding either offense, please contact the Dallas Police Department immediately: Detective Carlos Cardenas at 214-671-3683, Carlos.Cardenas@dallaspolice.gov, or call 911.
