Two months after a fire destroyed the DeSoto school district's supply of personal protective equipment, Dallas-based AT&T is making a donation today.

On August 27th, fire swept through the district's plant services building on Parkerville Road. The building served as the district's store house for supplies and equipment including its supply of PPE.

As soon as word of the fire spread, corporate donors, state agencies and community groups jumped into action. Baylor Scott and White donated hand sanitizer and TEA replaced some of the lost supplies. Atmos donated cash, the Mavs gave masks and hand sanitizer and Toyota of Plano donated face shields.

Today, at DeSoto's East Middle School, AT&T will deliver 10,000 bottles of hand sanitizer
