The city of Dallas is being blocked from enforcing new regulations on short-term rentals.

The Dallas City Council had passed a ban on short-term rentals in single-family neighborhoods, and it was planning to start enforcement of the new rule later this month.

But some property owners have sued and now a district judge has agreed to issue a temporary injunction in the case.

The city won't be allowed to enforce the regulation while the case is pending in court. The judge also set a trial date for June 2024.
