A Dallas County grand jury has indicted an El Paso man for ramming an outdoor security gate at Love Field during a police chase.
On September 7, a Dallas Police officer was making a traffic stop near Love Field when a car hit his squad car. Then the drive of the car took off.
Court papers say the driver was 28-year-old Demetrius Graham-Harris. Police gave chase with two other officers joining in.
It all ended on Tom Braniff Drive at Dallas Love Field when police say Graham-Harris tried to ram a gate that led into a secure area. He got out of the car and tried to run, but was brought down by a police officer with a taser.
Now Graham-Harris faces four felony charges including three for the aggravated assault of public servants and a fourth for damaging critical infrastructure, the security gate at the airport.
Police reports show Graham-Harris also had a couple of outstanding warrants and is being held on more than a $300,000 bond.
