It was quite the investigation for Dallas Country traffic deputies late last week.

Officers were investigating a crash near IH345 and Woodall Rodgers near downtown Dallas when a woman pulled up to the scene and exclaimed that she had a snake in her car!

Apparently, the snake slithered out from under the hood while the woman and her family were driving to the airport for a trip to Disney World, according to NBC DFW.

Deputy Barber took no time in going under the hood and retrieving the snake before it could cause any mayhem.

County officials didn't say if the snake was taken to an animal control facility or released back into the wild.
