Demonstrators met on the City Hall Plaza in Dallas on Monday, calling on the federal government to move forward with immigration reform.
Organizer Rogelio Neixueiro said Joe Biden promised reform during his campaign, but he has not followed through. He said the issue is not partisan, saying many immigrants who've settled in South Texas are socially conservative.
Neixueiro hopes the start of early voting in the primary will spark more interest in people to reach out to their lawmakers.
