Yesterday, Marcelino Delos Santos Jr. was arrested by Garland Police for his involvement in a crash that killed two people. The crash took the lives of Gilberto Campos Molinero and Artemio Lice Bolanos, who were traveling to work when their sedan was struck by a pickup truck that Delos Santos Jr. was driving.
According to the preliminary investigation, on March 27, around 6:50 a.m., Delos Santos Jr. was traveling at a high rate of speed when he ran the red light and was also texting on his cell phone when the accident occurred. Molinero died at the scene, and Bolanos passed away at a local hospital due to his injuries.
Delos Santos Jr, has been charged with two counts of Manslaughter and no bond has been set. The investigation is still ongoing.
