Dallas hospital opening fourth COVID-19 unit as cases rise

As the number of hospitalizations rises, Parkland Hospital in Dallas is opening more COVID-19 units.

The issue continues to be those that have not gotten their shots. Chief Medical Officer Dr. Joseph Chang says 97 percent of the patients they're treating for COVID-19 have not been vaccinated. He says right now they are operating 4 COVID-19 units.


Chang says there is some good news as the vaccination rate appears to be trending upward as of late.
