
Dallas is bringing women's soccer to the Cotton Bowl. The USL Super League was approved by the city council on Wednesday.
The league of 8 women's soccer team will begin play in August. Jim Neil is the owner of the new Dallas USL franchise and says there are 101 men's professional soccer teams in the United States. There are currently 14 for women, ..."so there is tremendous room for growth".
Mayor Eric Johnson says this is exactly what Dallas needs to invest in. The Cotton Bowl is undergoing $140 million worth of upgrades.
